France’s The Tribunal de Grande Instance has cleared Garnier, a unit of L’Oréal, and Laurent Dubois, its manager at the time of the alleged incident, of accusations of racial discrimination in its hiring practices.

The final acquittal, which L’Oréal states they are confident in obtaining, confirms that the allegations of racial discrimination against Garnier are unfounded, according to the company. L’Oréal further states that the company acts in favor of diversity and against all forms of discrimination, and strongly believes it was unfairly implicated in this case.
